In 2023, there were 409 victims of homicide and related offences recorded by police in Australia.
38% of those homicide and related offences were family and domestic violence (FDV) related*.
This is a national disgrace and critical emergency.
ThirtyEight wants to be part of the change, to create momentum and add voices to reduce the prevalence of family violence and abuse against women and their children.
The number needs to be 0%.

ThirtyEight was founded by two women; Becky and Sarah. Throughout their professional and personal experience, they've helped numerous women build courage, trust their instincts, and reach out for support to end abusive relationships.

ThirtyEight is a project-based organisation. We are driven by a determination to explore local and national proactive and preventative initiatives in collaboration with other organisations to help, support and inform women who feel they may be at risk of abuse to seek support.

We will contribute to the continuous safeguarding of women and their children by building innovative ways to communicate with the community to provide education and awareness and to elevate women's stories and voices.
We are driven by a belief that by focusing on prevention-led strategies to strengthening women’s self-determination and choice through resources and support and by creating a community of women supporting women, we can drive collective action and change.
Achieving our mission will mean the ThirtyEight community will be safe, respected and will thrive. We will experience this when the number of family violence related homicides is 0%.
